Restaurant Kronborg celebrates Martinmas Eve with Skagen toast, old-fashioned roast duck and apple dessert, as your Danish granny would have made it.

Martinmas Eve, 10 November, is the evening before St Martin’s Day. According to the legend Saint Martin was revealed by some geese when he modestly hid to avoid becoming a bishop. He therefore decided that every year on this night the geese must be eaten. However, many Danes eat roast duck instead.
At Restaurant Kronborg we celebrate Martinmas Eve by serving old school roast duck from 5 to 10 pm.
