“A twist that will turn heads,” writes Amy Strada in this week’s edition of The Copenhagen Post, as she reviews our Copenhagen Cooking-event, “Open-faced sandwiches with a twist and choice artisan beers”.
Amy Strada likes the twisted, traditional Danish lunch, complete with artisan beers from local brewery Nørrebro Bryghus.
She ends her review: “By utilising local brews, cheeses and wine, you really get a sense of what Danish culinary excellence is all about – with a twist.”

“Kronborg, Possibly the Best Open-faced Sandwiches in Copenhagen”

”You can have quite a ’Gentleman’s Lunch’ at Restaurant Kronbrog,” writes Tejs Lindhardt from XQ28. Among other things he is quite excited about the selection of beers from Jacobsen and Nørrebro Bryghus and the many different kinds of akvavit.

“I just love ‘smørrebrød’ (open-faced sandwiches), and when you visit one of the best restaurants for ‘smørrebrød’ in Copenhagen it’s a downright pity you can’t taste it all because it’s really hard to choose,” writes Tejs Lindhardt from XQ28 after having had lunch at Restaurant Kronborg.
“I have now visited Restaurant Kronborg on several occasions and thereby had the possibility of tasting some of my favourites. I always return to their roast pork… ”.

“Based on the Christmas Feast I would say we are at one of the best lunch restaurants in Copenhagen,” writes food writer and stylist, Mira Arkin, after enjoying the Christmas Feast at Restaurant Kronborg.
“Almost everything was home-made and well-made with attention to detail. The waiting staff was sweet and knowledgeable, and the range of interesting and slightly alternative akvavits was excellent.”
