CPHmade is your Key to the Uniquely Copenhagen

CPHmade seems like a concept whose time has come. The network has grown from six members when it was inaugurated in September 2011 to 40+ in May 2012. One of the first to get on board was the makers of some of our favourite beers, Nørrebro Bryghus.

“We wish to celebrate and promote the products and shops which are uniquely Copenhagen. The ones you can find only here,” says Asger Daugbjerg, founder and partner at CPHmade.
CPHmade is a new network for businesses which develop, design, produce and/or sell their products in Copenhagen.

“Kronborg, Possibly the Best Open-faced Sandwiches in Copenhagen”

”You can have quite a ’Gentleman’s Lunch’ at Restaurant Kronbrog,” writes Tejs Lindhardt from XQ28. Among other things he is quite excited about the selection of beers from Jacobsen and Nørrebro Bryghus and the many different kinds of akvavit.

“I just love ‘smørrebrød’ (open-faced sandwiches), and when you visit one of the best restaurants for ‘smørrebrød’ in Copenhagen it’s a downright pity you can’t taste it all because it’s really hard to choose,” writes Tejs Lindhardt from XQ28 after having had lunch at Restaurant Kronborg.
“I have now visited Restaurant Kronborg on several occasions and thereby had the possibility of tasting some of my favourites. I always return to their roast pork… ”.

Jacobsen’s popular Saaz Blonde is now available on draft. Saaz Blonde is the perfect companion to fatty fish, like rimmed salmon or smoked Greenland halibut.

The brew master at Carlsberg’s gourmet brewery, Jacobsen, listens to his followers and now launches popular Saaz Blonde on draft.

Blonde, Elegant and Fruity
Jacobsen has been inspired by the light, fruity biéres blondes from Belgium
and added a bit of elegant Czech Saaz hops, thus the name Saaz Blonde.
The beer is fruity with notes of ripe melon and dried apricots as well as a touch of pine
from the old Nordic plant kvan. Saaz Blonde is a full-bodied beer, almost
without bitterness, and fine for both experienced beer drinkers and people who
generally prefer wine with their food.
Jacobsen recommends Saaz Blonde for starters, fatty fish, cheese and dessert.

Jacobsen’s Popular Christmas Ale

Jacobsen’s popular Christmas Ale – Jacobsen Golden Naked Christmas Ale – is the perfect companion to the succulent Nordic Christmas food, like duck, roast pork and open-faced sandwiches.

Jacobsen’s popular Christmas Ale – Jacobsen Golden Naked Christmas Ale – is the perfect companion to the succulent Nordic Christmas food, like duck, roast pork and open-faced sandwiches.

The name is hard on the tongue of the Danes: Jacobsen Golden Naked Christmas Ale. But the taste has convinced the sceptics and Jacobsen’s Christmas ale has quickly become one of our most popular beers on draft.

The Naked Ale…
Jacobsen Golden Naked Christmas Ale gets its name from the so-called ’naked oats’, where the oats are quite loose and often fall of during the harvesting. The naked oats makes the ale extraordinarily creamy and smooth. The brewer adds huge amounts of freshly grated orange peels, cinnamon and fennel seeds, and you achieve an amazing companion to the succulent Nordic Christmas food, like duck, roast pork and open-faced sandwiches.
