A classic Danish gentlemen’s lunch calls for delicate fish dishes (preferably with aquavit), more rustic meat dishes (for the dark special brews) and forceful cheese (preferably with more aquavit… ).
Our version of a gentlemen’s lunchs takes a healthy appetite as well as a couple of relaxed hours which will definitely be cosy and quite possibly festive…
The lunch is served on platters in three servings
’Branteviksild’ – classic Swedish herring, marinated in fresh herbs
Pan-fried, salted herring with pan-fried onions, pickled beetroots and mustard Pan-fried fillet of plaice with ‘remoulade’ (traditional Danish relish)
Smoked salmon with crisp fennel and smoked cheese

Vol-au-vent with hen and asparagus
Roast pork with pickled red cabbage and cucumber
Beef tartare of the season

Very mature cheese served with rum, meat jelly and onions
Includes rye bread, white bread, butter and duck lard
